Alright GameFAQs, tell me why I should get a 3DS

I was repairing my DSLite's top LCD screen. I opened it up as gently as I could and when I tried to remove the top LCD's ribbon cable from the motherboard's P3 connector, I broke the P3. (this is a $60 fix as I am too inexperienced to use soldering iron myself to buy another P3 and attach it)

FML.

After a broken hinge, shell change, unresponsive button cleaning, and disc drive replacement, So ends my DSLite's 5-year reign. ...and another takes it's place. The DS successor, 3DS.

But is it worth it?

Gamefaqs, should I get the 3DS?
