Restore points is another word for "save states" which eShop NES releases get over what us Ambassadors have to wait a week for our pre-release versions to get updated to.

Restore points are typically turned off at first, though the main method for know if you have the version with restore points or not is if it's main menu icon is an NES with a TV for the new version, or just the title screen for the old.

I agree with this, to a point. I'm at the Great Palace, I'm saving restore points for the ensuing carnage.

Man... I just bought this game and it says its the VC version. It doesn't have the TV icon.

What gives?
