What's the single best game on the 3DS right now?

Currently I only have NSMB2 and Revelations.
Also, any games from Atlus on the 3DS? Thanks.

Atlus: Code of Princess?

The best game is Virtue's Last Reward, the sequel to 999. It's improved in nearly every way.

everyone would say kid icarus....but my pick would be mh3g and fire emblem which are fortunately coming out next year.

I played the demo of Virtue on my Vita and it was definitely interesting. How important is 999 to it? I might pick up both on the 3DS if it's important.

Virtue's Last Reward or Ocarina of Time.

However, the true greatest 3DS game is being released in December...in Japan.

I haven't played much of VLR to tell, but judging by the fact that some 999 characters return in VLR, you should get 999.

It is. There's quite an overarching story. VLR can be treated as standalone, but I strongly suggest against it. That said, most of the worthwhile concepts and events of 999 are references (spoiled, if you will) and explained in VLR. It's your call.

Far as Vita vs. 3DS, there are pros and cons to each. In my book, the Vita version's perk is taking screenshots. Others say the higher resolution is nice, but it doesn't bother me. The 3DS's perk is using the touch screen's 'Memo pad' to record notes and solve puzzles as you go without a sheet of paper. I used it the entire time and now store passwords the game provides in it forever.

You already have the best game ;)

As for Atlus games, there's Code of Princess and Devil Survivor Overclocked, and Etrian Odyssey will be out in February.

to be more specifically, i just named all the good games on the 3Ds, aside from these games, everything else is esentially easy to dodge your wallet, (or your moms wallet) from.
