Gamestop Pre-owned system

I don't usually buy from Gamestop, however, I received a coupon that was for 25$ off a pre-owned or refurbished system and was considering buying a 3DS. Anyone have any experience with their pre-owned stuff? Or should I just purchase a brand new system?

Money isn't really a huge concern but if I can save 25$ and still have a quality purchase then I don't see why not to do that.

Used systems are often refurbished. Everytime I brought a NON refurbished one, it was already broken. Don't buy it unless it's refurbished. This has happened to me 3 times. Don't let it ruin your day like it did mine.

Always buy new

Having worked at GameStop, I can tell you a "refurbished" system is one that's been cleaned off a little and resold.

Good deal. I really appreciate that. I have never bought a used console for that fear.

Buy it new. You'll never regret spending that extra $25 dollars for a brand new system. You never know why it was traded-in in the first place.

With electronics, unless you can get a serious discount, always buy new.

I bought a used system and it was as good as new but this was before the price drop. You should inspect the system before you buy it if you buy used

I bought a used dsi from Gamestop and it ran perfectly for a year until someone stole it from me.

Just inspect it carefully. And if the screen is scratched or the analog isn't right or something else is wrong ask to see another one. Make sure you turn it on and see it working.

Also if you you can always return it within a week.
