Imagine superstar saga with just items and no leveling, outside of finding health upgrades.

That being said, they pull it off in a way that didn't end up mediocre, but isn't fantastic either.

Yeah, but Sticker Star is a bit lighter on RPG elements than the earlier games in the series besides Super Paper Mario. If you liked Superstar Saga you will probably like Paper Mario.

What makes is not fantastic?


The story doesn't exist and Miyamoto basically George Lucased all over the damn game with his weird ass design choices and strangled any chance of story actually being in those games. You know... the thing that made the others ones good or better!

People need to realize that games are art. Seriously, it's been proven over and over again. I think it's about time to people to man up and finally say this.

I think TC is asking Paper Mario in general, not just Sticker Star. So if you love the Mario RPGs, you should love the N64 and the GCN ones, with the GCN one being the best one imo.
