Could the 3DS handle Gravity Rush?

It's a nice looking cel shaded game on the Vita but it doesn't look too far beyond what the 3DS can handle. What do you guys think?

Probably. But it may have to dumb down the amount that's happening in the background, especially to put it in 3D and not have a crap framerate.

Man Gravity Rush would be awesome in 3D with all its high flying antics.

Vita is way more powerful than the 3DS, but the graphics will have to be worse. But If it was watered down yea it can handle it!3DS is not another DS,it can handle 3D games.

Yea I don't think the 3D takes that much more horse power. Gravity Rush has these cool comic panel scenes that react to the gyro movement and would really jump out in 3D.

Gyro and 3D do not work out very well. And yea the game would have to be dumbed down quite a bit. Reduce draw distance, less going on in the background, lower res and textures, possibly even have to have less content.... but yea it is possible to capture the essence of gravity rush on the 3ds

I own both a Vita and 3DS and love both. ^-^ (Speaking about JP PSN unless stated otherwise)

I don't believe so.

The way in which it was developed leads me to believe that no, it would not. The game was originally in development for roughly two years as a PS3 title before being moved to the Vita. The Vita and PS3 share things in common from a program perspective which made bringing it over a relatively easy job (according to developer interviews).

Now had the game been built from the ground up for the 3DS, that'd be an entirely different story. Had the game been created with the 3DS in mind I personally believe it would have ended up being a very different game.

3DS can't even handle an open world lego game... and even if it could handle it it couldn't be controlled properly without a second analogue.
