Do you think Nintendo will ever put retail DS games on the eshop?

I personally hope they do. There are a number of DS games that I would like to be able to play without having to lug the cart around.... That is, of course, they price them for less then what they were originally sold at retail for, which knowing Nintendo they can't stop themselves from doing.

I know man, those things are so heavy and cumbersome, it's ridiculous.

Serious answer is probably not. Most of the games can still be found without much difficulty and can be played on the 3DS. The point of VC games is to be able to play games you wouldn't normally be able to find and play them without having the original system.

As long as the 3DS is backwards compatible,no. There's no real reason to at the moment.

They should release some good 3ds games first.

Nintendo and competent online networks don't really go together. I mean they still don't have an account system so if you physically don't have your device because it was stolen or lost you are screwed.
