I know that this was an issue when the 3DS first came out- if you took out the battery for more than a few seconds, you couldn't get Streetpasses from those you passed before. The thing is, I forgot about it and I took the battery out of my 3DS XL the other day and haven't gotten a streetpass from two other household 3ds systems since.

My question is, has there been a fix to this issue other than completely formatting the system? I would really hate to do so at this point, since I have an account that has existed since the original 3DS first came out on it.

Yeah. I got a streetpass from someone I passed before....On the regular 3DS, however...
I am insane. Somethings I say may not make sense. Please take heed. www.brokencontrollers.com Why can't we give love that one more chance? 3DS FC:5327-0905-8783

I opened it up, trying to see if I could sort out the looseness and very noticeable creak it has on the right side of the system (right under the buttons). Obviously, you generally don't want electronics plugged into a power source when opening up the casing.

But that's neither here nor there. Any word on whether Nintendo ever fixed that ridiculous glitch?

Isn't it a rumor? When I changed my battery there was no problems.

I thought you just had to delete their miis to start tagging them again.

Hmmm...I deleted the Mii I pass from my other 3DS, but they're still not tagging. :/

Doesn't it take 24 hours before they start Streetpassing again?

What, from when I pulled out the battery? That was 4 days ago.
