I don't really like to argue about this stuff, but the reasons you listed really need more justification :x
Charger, cradle, and telescopic stylus are not embedded into the system, and can be bought separately. It's a really bad choice to avoid the XL for these reasons.
The speakers are weaker than the original, that's undeniable, but they're loud enough for an empty room, and you would be using headphones in a noisy/crowded room anyway, which work just as well as the original.
Screen res has already been pointed out by others. If you really will give up a 90% bigger screen because of some slightly more jaggy graphics, then you may as well just go for an HD system and avoid low res graphics altogether.
Opinions are just opinions, and you're entitled to yours. But I would recommend an XL 100% of the time over the original, specially if it's your first 3DS purchase.
