After watching AVGN, I've gotten the urge to get Ghosts n Goblins.

Well, it's hard as... well, you know since you've watched the AVGN video, but still, one of the hardest (if not THE) games I've ever played.

I mean, I've had that game ever since I remember and I still haven't got past Stage 2. Be warned, it WILL make you rage. A lot.

Both of those are great games. I'd get both if you could. However, if you are only getting 1, I'd get Zelda. You'll probably need a walkthrough, but it's fun game regardless.

Buy Zelda. Just don't use a walk through and play it normally. It will keep you busy for longer that way or buy Mario if you like speed runs.

Then get Super Mario Bros. I like The Legend of Zelda a lot more but TLoZ can be very confusing if you are playing it for the first time and if you don't want to use an online map. I for one had to cheat my way through the game. There are many things in the TLoZ that I would of never figured out on my own and I would of got stuck if I didn't use a map.
