Why doesn't the 3DS have as many games as the DS did?

And by that I mean games that aren't just remakes that are ported. The DS had a lot of remakes ported to it but it also had far more new titles even if from rehashed series.

Why doesn't the 3DS have as many new games?

It hasn't been out as long.
Also, I would imagine 3DS games would be harder to create due to the 3D element.

So a system that's less than 2 years old is expected to have more games than one nearly 9 years old? Lol

Plus there's about 50ish E-shop game's I've got for dirt cheap, so yeah, it's worth it.

Honestly, I just don't remember more interesting games than this for DS within 2 years...?

Hmm, maybe because it was easier to make for DS than 3DS.
