3DS has pretty conclusively proven it's best to fire all your bullets at once

Price cut so soon in its lifespan it was almost unprecedented, tons of major, 1st party games in rapid succession. Then, since the holiday last year, not one single great game (you could argue KI:U, but the controls put most off) and the biggest/"best" game released for the previous handheld (Pokemon).

After all this, 3DS is one of the most successful pieces of electronics of all time, but nothing has made it worth owning, unless you're a diehard KH/KI fan over the past year. Nintendo did an amazing job righting the ship, but where do they go from here?

No, it's best to fire all your bullets before the enemy even know you have a single gun, then just in case they get back up keep an extra couple loaded guns in a bag and shoot a bullet every once in a while to keep them down.

This is my only account.

Anyway, the 3DS is a juggernaut in Japan, and merely great here. I wish that Sony could be 1/4 as successful as Nintendo.

I do disagree that there is nothing worth owning.

I wouldn't even say they fired most of their bullets. They've been pretty much coasting since Mario 3D Land / Mario Kart 7.

RE: Revelations was cool, and Monster Hunter helped in Japan, but there are plenty of bullets that haven't been fired (and should have been) to hit Sony while they were down.

What? You pooped in the refrigerator? And you ate the whole... wheel of cheese? How'd you do that? Heck, I'm not even mad; that's amazing.

If they wanted to fire all their bullets, they'd have had all their second party developers work on 3DS games and release them before the first year was over.

There's still no main Pokemon game for the 3DS. So Nintendo still hasn't fired their big gun.

RE: Revelations, in my humble opinion, is the BEST handheld experience of all time, and is the first, and only handheld game to ever be a true console replacement. You do agree with me they've been costing since the Mario double whammy. I think it's pretty indisputable. But when you're selling like the 3DS is, I would be coasting too.

What should be troubling Nintendo is the somewhat shaky WiiU launch, but with the 3DS powerhouse they can maintain another N64/Gamecube-esque seller.
