Thoughts on Crimson Shroud?

I heard it's only ~5 hours at most with no real replayability. The whole dice thing is kinda offputting to me too. But I love Matsuno games, and wanna buy it to make them want to do more, be it for 3DS or other platforms.

How much does it cost? How's the story? Much variety in gameplay?

I kinda want to know as well. The dice seem more of a gimmic really.

No replayability? But I heard there was a new game + and a second ending?

The story, writing, music, and overall presentation is fantastic, especially if you're a fan of Matsuno'd previous games. The dice mechanic is well implemented in both battles(to boost skills) and event scenes(where they determine the outcome of decisions you make) and never feels like a stupid gimmick. It's a great game.

Crimson Shroud is an awesome game. Period.

So much so, that I am angry that they didnt just add much more to this game and sell it outright as a full and complete 20-30 hour experience. The dice are NOT gimmicky.
As a matter of fact, it's one of the best things I love about the game. If developers are reading this, please strongly consider adding dlc to this game. Easily one of the most engrossing experiences on the eShop. If it were longer, it would hold up till the release of Fire Emblem.

Best $8 spent so far.
