Don't hurt me but is the 3DS in fact more powerful than the PSP?

The 3DS is like a Gamecube 1.5, the PSP is like a Playstation 1.5.

3DS is on par with Gamecube, while the PSP is a little worse than the PS2. Basically, there's not a lot of difference on some games, but if you play Snake Eater 3D and go back to Peace Walker, you might notice it.

It makes no different if the game development was lazy. : )

Having owned the all , I know for a fact that I have played DS and PSP games that are a lot better than a number of PS3 and X360 games. Specially early in the system launch games for the consoles.

Some poor graphic games like Deadly Premonition still can be a lot of fun also. So it really doesn't matter that much.

The 3DS is stronger than the PSP, on par with the Wii, weaker than the Vita.

There was however a port of the PS2 game Tales of the Abyss, and I'm sure Nintendo would port Gamecube games if they wanted to. They're still busy milking N64 games though with major upgrades.

In terms of overall power:

PS3>Vita>3DS=Wii>Gamecube>PS2>PSP>N64>DS
