So what's the goal for the number of times this topic will get posted? 5 times? You guys are almost there.

Are we crossing boards? A topic about this was made over on the Wii U board too.

I was talking about just here but if what you say is true(I'm not going to that board) then this is an even bigger problem.

What cheap parents. Get a new 3ds for christmas. This wouldn't have happened if they weren't trying to be cheap. If you buy used this is the risk you take. The least you could have done is to check the used 3ds out for unwanted content on it.
Gamestop is supposed to check those consoles out anyway, but that doesn't mean they all do.

So wait... The Dad is suing GameStop because SANTA brought the son a USED 3DS.
How would they explain that to the court? Is the father really going to spoil the best part of (almost) every child's Christmas to his 5-year old son for a court case?
Yeah it's the porn ruining Christmas for the kid, not the greedy parents yucking it up for 5 mins of fame. /sarcasm.

Also, didn't gamestop compensate by giving them a new (non-used) 3DS and several games?

What kind of message is he sending to his kids by telling them to cry into the camera? Crying will get you whatever you want in life?

It's worked for women since the beginning of time.

Obviously you do not know the value of a dollar.

Even 20$ can be vital for people not living comfortable.

LOL @ the gamestop defense force. This hard working man who loves his kid went on a journey to purchase his kid what he wanted.

He takes out all the money he has left... He finds just enough to buy a used 3DS with the game his child wants.

Drives home. Finds out his son has been exposed to raunchy photos of who knows what kind.

The fact that some would attack this man, his family, and defend gamestop is ****ing despicable.

The despicable part is how this father goes on national TV crying over this. GameStop gave the kid a brand new 3DS XL and free games and that father still wants more from them.

This needs to stop right now. I'm just going to copy and paste what I posted on my Facebook to shut people up.

The moral of this story? If you're going to buy your kids a used system for Christmas, check it before you give it to them. Obviously Gamestop should check it themselves but once in a while things slip through. This is common sense. Now, they should stop crying like their whole world has come crashing down. The kids I understand but the dad too? Give me a break. Any kid that accidentally sneaks onto a computer in the middle of the night can find porn. Or you could pick up mommy's copy of 50 Shades of Grey. Or catch sight of an R-rated movie starring Angelina Jolie. Whatever. Gamestop apologized, they got a brand new 3DS (rather than a used one), and some free games. They should stop spreading their sob story all over the internet like it's the biggest deal ever. Again, remind me why the dad is crying? And why CNN treats this like a major news story?

That seems to be the thing in America (well, since decades ago already). I'm glad I don't live there: I'd be afraid to set even 1 step there, as someone might sue me already for thinking I might've tried to kick him and now he has [insert any kind of mental disorder] which destroyed his entire life.

Reminds me of an old video during the good days of Failblog, and I managed to find it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFnuZKyjo00
