There's plenty of research data to suggest this yourself. .
I have yet to find any, it doesn't help that you just reiterated your first statement.

And I'm sure CoD players also try to fool themselves into thinking that they're too "hardcore" to be mostly made up of kids, even though anyone with a headset would be able to tell you otherwise.
I never said anything about the CoD demographic, although there has to be some truth to the stereotype.

Games are toys, and toys are aimed primarily at kids.
You're basically saying computers are toys, get real.
Starwars4J posted... Yes, there are those of us who are older who play games as well, but we're not the main audience of ANY game company.
Game companies don't strictly stick to using age when it comes to marketing. Take any sports game, obviously age is irrelevant since they are marketing towards sports fans in general. You could even argue they would be selling to young adults, because little kids don't give a flying **** what the stats on their favorite sports star are as long as they get to use him.

Yes, and it all boils down to parents making a ******* stupid mistake and trying to play the lame game because they get embarrassed or refuse to realize how retarded they were being at the time.
I don't see what this has to do with marketing though.
