Should I buy the original 3DS or pay the extra money and get the 3DS XL?

So which one should I get?

If I said I was going to do anything in this post, you can forget about it. I'm too tired.

Go to a game shop and ask to look at their pre owned 3DS and 3DS XL, they should let you try out a game on both of them and then you can see which one feels better. You don't have to buy it pre owned either but this is a good way to compare the 2 for free.

When the XL was on sale recently for 159.99 USD, I bypassed the original 3DS altogether for the more recent edition and haven't looked back. My advice is to go 3DS XL.

The XL is by far superior to the original

-Larger screen allows for better 3D viewing angle
-Eliminated needless and distracting '3D' light next to top screen
-Matte finish
-Larger SD card
-D-pad doesn't squeak
-Headphone jack in a better position
-Stylus is larger and more sensibly placed

I like the way the 3DS XL feels a hell of a lot. I bought one on a whim after it came to me in a dream (literally... before that dream I had no clue it existed) and never looked back.

Great, solid device all around.

Get the XL. Longer battery life, larger screen, better build quality. What's not to love?
