So, can you transfer save data from a retail game to digital?

When retail games were first being announced for eShop I rcall seeing a Japanese ad for this, but haven't heard or seen it for na. So, if I decided to say, get rumble blast on eShop, can I still keep my pokermanz from the card and sell it?

Just looking for an answer, not an opinion on the game or retail eShop prices.

I also remember reading about this. Unfortunately I do not recall any NA info other than "coming soon".

My cousin bought an XL with MK7 and he has the card for it so I recently have been wondering about this as well.

At the moment, no. I've heard rumors of a save transfer program in the works, but I haven't seen a link to any sites reporting the rumor.

Wait, I thought saves were saved onto the system's storage or an SD card now aren't they?

The data from the Style Savvy: Trendsetters demos carried over to the retail carts, so there's at least *something* in place for it now. How far they can or will take it is another matter.

Other demos transfer data to their full versions as well.

MH3G has a tool to transfer to the WiiU.
New Love Plus has a data transfer too for the DS games.

The functionality has been there since the start of the 3DS.

Which begs the question: Why aren't they implementing it now that they're pushing downloads so hard? The functionality is there, people want it, yet they're not pushing it out yet. Puzzling decision to say the least.
