Developer Renegade Kidd’s co-founder, Jools Watsham, has confirmed, via Twitter, that there will be a sequel to Mutant Mudds.

The original Mutant Mudds hit the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS in 2012, and a Wii U version of the platformer, titled Mutant Mudds Deluxe, will launch in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U later this year.

There is a chance that the forthcoming Mutant Mudds 2 will be available in physical form, as Watsham sent out a tweet that read, “RT if you would buy a Mutant Mudds 1 & 2 combo pack on cartridge for 3DS! :),” which has so far received over 60 retweets on the social networking service.

I know I would! How about you all? This something you'd buy or would you prefer they stick to a straight digital release?

I'm 100% digital on my 3DS, so no. But I'm sure many would want that, seeing how much people hate digital distribution over here. Though I wonder how much they can charge for that, anything beyond 20$ phisycally would make people freak out.

Considering i already bought the digital eShop version, not really. i can't sell my digital copy so why bother buying it physically to have the same game twice?. unless it came with complete soundtrack CD's then no.. i already have it.. thanks!.

Wait, so the dev everyone was bashing last week and saying they made crappy games (which was obviously reactionary to their piracy comments) developed Mutant Mudds, one of the best reviewed 3DS games last year?

I understand everyone's concern of them threatening to leave, but this is just ridiculous.
