2012: The year of two bad Mario games.

Can someone explain to me why NSMB2 is a bad rehash and B/W2 are considered GOTY material?

2012: the year of underrated Mario games
I've never seen a more underrated game than Sticker Star. It steals Sunshine's crown IMO

What is underrated about them, honestly? Miyamoto made a conscious decision to remove integral elements of all great Paper Mario titles.

B/W2 has a more indepth and unique story. It changes the movesets of numerous Pokémon. Six of the Pokémon have new alt. formes. It adds a post-game tournament where you can battle gym leaders, E4 members, and champions from all previous games. It adds an improved and streamlined breeding system. Ever-adding downloadable tournaments. A new side mode to replace Contests, that allows you to record footage of the mode. It adds an Easy and Hard mode to the game, both having different levels of AI than the Normal mode. It adds an item that improves the odds of finding Shinies. And many, many other features.

Why did Nintendo rip off digimon? demondog666

NSMB2 is disgustingly rehashy. I mean, even the most ardent fanboys have given up trying to argue it does anything remotely interesting. They've fallen back on "Oh, but it's supposed to be a rehash! That's the whole point!" lol, ok.

I played through it and had ideas constantly how to make it more interesting, add more replay value, etc. I know Nints has thought of these as well, but they have GONE OUT OF THEIR WAY to make sure it doesn't include any of them. It really does feel like a ROM hack as someone else stated, and it's freaking insulting and sad it's the hardest Nintendo is willing to try with a $40 modern 2D Mario game.

Sticker Star is pretty cool, though.

The anger in this thread over someone expressing their opinion.

I'm having a good time with Sticker Star so far. It is different from the others, but if it weren't, you'd be crying about that too.

Like you're doing with NSMB2. Which I also enjoyed.

This is a clear example of how fans are the worst and smart companies are smart because they ignore them. SS changed things, bad. NSMB2 (allegedly) didn't change enough, bad. You guys are so far up your own asses you can't even see the contradictions you spout over and over. I will admit that the "new" series needs some new music but if you really can't tell how NSMB2 is different from the others you probably didn't play it, or if you did, you went in with your downloaded opinion already locked in place.

Now, I would have enjoyed Mario Tennis Open more if online wasn't all Miis all the time. :p
