trouble with my son's Mii

#1GamerliciousPosted 1/4/2013 3:01:22 PM
I have had a 3DS of my own since February last year. I just got my son his own 3DS for Christmas. I made him his own Mii and set it as his favorite and everything. He has a nickname set and everything.

I got him Mario Kart 7 so we could play together.
When we play local multiplayer he has the same nickname as me. And he just unlocked the ability to play as a Mii character, but it is MY Mii character.

How do I make it so he has his own name and can play as his own Mii?
Is this because I registered his DS onto my Club Nintendo account?

Probaly. shouldn't have registerd HIS 3ds on YOUR account.
I'm not saying He's batman, I'm just saying no-ones ever seen Darth Vader and batman in the same room together.

Club Nintendo has nothing to do with it, it's just an extra service which is running in the background. In Mario Kart 7, did you make sure he created an account using his Mii? It doesn't matter what's on his 3DS if his save file isn't actually set to it.

It has to be the main Mii for the 3DS. You have to edit the main Mii, which is you, to be him. No other way.

You can change the Mii in Mk7 IIRC. Also you might need to get him his own MK7 also.
Not much of potato he said but potato he wrote.

Go to option, then change the mii for the game. Done.

1) Open Mario Kart 7 and goto the Mario Kart Channel menu
2) Scroll down to the Mii in the corner and click it
3) From there set the Mii to what ever Mii you want, that is on the system

Mario Kart 7's Mii can be independent of the system Mii.

Oh wow, I'm really sorry for the misinformation. I thought it was like swap note. Truly sorry guys, that's what I get for commenting on a game I haven't played in a few weeks. :(
