Question about GBA Games

I was under the impression that when I got this system that the virtual console would include GBA games. I'm pretty sure i heard such in a few podcasts I listen to.

Are there GBA games somewhere on the eshop and I just don't know?

Are there future plans for GBA games to be put up on the eshop?

Right now the only GBA games are the ones that are available for Ambassadors, and no clue when GBA games will be made available to everyone.

The current speculation is that Nintendo will either release GBA games 1) after going through their GB / GBC library, or 2) if the 3DS starts hemorrhaging money, as a move of desperation.

Either way, it'll be a while.

Really I think it's kind of strange that GBA games aren't up yet, especially since emulating them really isn't too much different from emulating GB and GBC games, but currently Nintendo says they have no plans on doing so. The only GBA game that is actually up for everyone is Legend of Zelda 4 Swords, and it's actually an enhanced remake for DSiware.

It is not available and hasn't been for almost a year.
