Why isn't Nintendo doing more 3DS/Wii U games?

Seriously, New Super Mario Bros. 2 shouldn't have existed; New Super Mario Bros. U should have been made for both platforms. I mean, imagine if the next Mario Kart was made available for both platforms, etc.

Doing so, we would see more even support between the two consoles, and a stronger multi-player component. They could even combine online services, and allow you to play on 3DS w/ Wii U players, and vice versa.

That's like asking why Super Mario Land 1 and 2 isn't on the NES?

They do it for a reason.

I like NSMB2...

They could release an expanded MK7 for the Wii U methinks.

I want this to, apparently they are supposed to be doing this for Super Smash Brother. I really hope they can do it for monster hunter also. The only thing I can think of is that Nintendo was concentrating all their resources into the Wii U for christmas. I think that from hear on out that they will show support like you suggested, but wanted to make sure that the Wii U sold well (especially because of christmas) because the handheld was already selling well.

I hope that's the case, anyways.

Because they already announced that they want both to be silent so they can release Animal Crossing: New Leaf, a game that sold over 800,000 copies in the first three days in Japan.

And honestly, it takes long to make a video game. You shouldn't even bother being impatient when it has become THAT obvious by now.

Thanks goodness they aren't. That's my main problem with the Vita. There would be no point in owning a 3DS or Wii U if they share a lot of games. Don't get me wrong I'm cool with some games having connectivity. Just don't don't over do it to the point where it makes owning both system pointless.
