Because Kanto has been in every generation except for gen v. and I think it would be cool to walk around Kanto, especially if it was the first ever fully 3D Pokemon RPG game (not including the gamecube ones)

that would be crappy because you could only catch shadow pokemon.

Gen 1 remake you say? I'm always on board for anything gen 1 related.

Only if they somehow added in Johto with it.

If they want me to buy their game again, they need to do something else besides another graphical overhaul, considering I can just play RBY or FRLG with no problem if I want to visit Kanto again.

So what? XD had roughly 80 shadow pokemon and that was just a gamecube game. More than likely if they did a sequel that was exclusively kanto they would put in every single kanto pokemon.

Just let us visit Kanto as a second region again in gen 6 but much more fleshed out
