Shiny Pokemon

I think they should make shinies as rare as they were in the beginning. No item to make finding or breeding shinies easier.

i'm just saying they should make shinies rarer as they once were. and i put this on the 3ds board cause hopefully the news tomorrow will be gen 6 pokemon for the 3ds. but there's no main pokemon game for the 3ds yet.

It's not as though the odds of obtaining a shiny went from 1/8192 to 1/10. They're still a huge pain in the rear to obtain purposefully even with the optimum setup.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Shines were easier to get in GSC because shinyness was actually determined by certain IV values in Gen 2. They became rarer after the mechanics reboot in RSE.

Though the charm is tedious to get and you chances still aren't that good anyway.

You can't get the item that makes shinies easier to find until you fill up the Pokedex, so it's not a big deal. Even then it's like saying your chances of dying have gone from 100% to 99%.

correct

there was even some kind of glitch that involved trading between G/S/C and R/B/Y that could get you a Shiny Ditto easier, and then you could just use that Ditto with the IV values in order to more easily obtain shinies

plus, Red Gyarados and the random baby egg in Crystal, the only two shinies you're guaranteed to get

Optimum setup(Without directly changing code) would be RNGing, which can get 1/1 odds.
I personally don't enjoy RNG, and it's called into question if it's a legit method.

The pokeradar can get it up 1/200, but with 4 patches shaking at once, it's actually 4/200, or 1/50.
Which is pretty darn close to 1/10.

With the shiny charm and Masuda method, it's something like 1/1,200.
There are many ways to adjust how rare shinies are, some much more than others.
I think TC just wants it to revert to a static calculation rather than one that can be manipulated.
