No, its just really popular. It would be dumb for them not to over-franchise the line.

You basically called it a milked franchise. Do you mean to say that you think the word milked is not fair?

Pretty sure there are other things that are far more milked then Pokemon.

World War 2 is the only thing that comes to mind.

Any franchise that sells like crazy and makes money will be milked, why wouldn't it? Only Disney releases sequels to things no one likes lol

Additionally, I don't see how people can say that having two different versions of a Pokemon game don't count as separate releases. They count because there is no way that Nintendo does not both know and expect that people will buy both.

Seriously. I walked into a Walmart yesterday and found Angry Birds air fresheners, for heaven's sake.

Rovio is getting there and undoubtedly copying Game Freak's business model, but fortunately, their games are priced at a reasonable $0.00 - $2.99 per title. And they've also tried to innovate through "spinoff" titles like Bad Piggies, compared to Game Freak which outsources all spinoffs to 3rd party studios.

¨reasonable¨ at 29.99 and 39.99

The lack of responses after my own pretty much meant they had nothing to say.

Or mabe they don't care . The fanbase(the true fanbase) don't really give a ***** that the franchise is "milked" look at the pokemon X board dude and how many posts almost everyone there is crazy to play a new pokemon game and it's been like that since forever.

People who complaining "derp the series is so milked derp" aren't even part of the fanbase anyway that's why GF and Nintendo also don't give a *****
