Yo have you played Etrian Odyssey? Is Unchained Blades better?


im 38 hours into Unchained blades and so far (dont think im halfway done with the game)... slightly better because of superior visuals and dungeon design (i've only played EO3). The dialogue gets pretty hilarious as well

but etrian wins in customization though by just a bit (theres like 8 characters here with branching unique per character skill grids which decide how that certain character plays)

GOOD Voice acting also adds alot in the game for me, here's samples

Honestly im becoming a big fan of this game unexpectedly I actually like this game BETTER than Strange Journey now lol

^ It is. And the game is coming out in the US next month anyway, so importing it now wouldn't make sense.

How's Denpa Man - or w/e that's called?

Denpa Men is pretty fun. There's a demo on the eShop, which I think takes you through the first dungeon in its entirety.

There's not a lot of customization, but there are several combinations of stats, abilities, and elements for your team members.

Just to let you know TC. The one's who are referring to Devil Survivor OverClock is basically just a voice acting remake to the original for DS which is cheaper. To be honest when I played it from a friend I wasn't too fond of the voice acting either.
Sum up: Despite what you said, I personally think your better off with the original DS version.

Also if you don't like first-person dungeon crawlers (like me who prefers RPG's like FF and DQ) than stay away from Etrian Odyssey.

<.< At this point I may sound stingy, but if you don't mind the gameplay their's always FE next month (it got a easy mode I heard for new players.) Otherwise might not be the best option but you could even wait till March for that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game

I know you said no DS games, TC, but honestly at this point you'd be much better off looking at DS games.

Not my place to answer, but UB is inferior to EO. This is mainly in the bosses and chapter system. Followers could have been better executed too.

Alot of 3DS games have garbage graphics anyways so go and play some older DS games...
