Nintendo 3DS

No news at present but I suspect a 3ds lite will properly be released in the future maybe a E3 announcement. Although I've been thinking about buying a 3ds and bought the 3ds xl two days ago. It's amazing such a big improvement over the original 3ds.

Im not a fan of the large size.

I already own a vita and every current gen console so im in no rush.

Might as well wait for the rehash.

Looking at release data they come out around 2 years after the original model

the only large thing about the xl is the screen size, it still easily fits into my pocket

Pretty much this. The DSLite came about because the original DS just wasn't ergonomic. Every model since then other than the XL's have taken the "Lite" form. The original 3DS already is the 3DS Lite. Unless you want something even smaller than that, which really would just make the system even worse.

I dont consider the DSi Xl a notable upgrade. It goes DS>DSL>DSi

I mean the actual upgrade to the 3ds.It might have inbuilt 2 analogues, it might have better battery i dunno

you do know nobody's forcing you to buy a 3DS right? if you don't actually want a 3DS, nobody's gonna make you buy one.
