I want to pick up the 3ds xl but with all the quality issues going on should I wait a while? Does anybody have experience with Nintendo actually fixing this problem because I was watching youtube videos where people sent in their system and Nintendo sent back the system claiming they fixed it but they didn't, the top screen was still yellow. This would be unacceptable for me but it seems like some guys just gave up and said the hell with it. I was kind of hoping for a new color or a monster hunter bundle without this issue but there is no way the yellow screen would fly with me. Should I take chance that i will get a good one or just say screw it until they do something about it?
If you dont have the original 3DS you woudnt even know the differnece, the massive screen compared to the old trumps the yellow screen crap, it was rumoured that the yellowish hue helps with battery life anyway --- 3DS FC: 4597-0164-7987
Neither of my screens are yellow; they both have like a... light steel blue color going on. Turning on Power Saver mode replaces that cool blue with a subtle "tornado sky yellow," but that's only with Power Saver enabled. --- chrisAAMO | 2938_5923_5833
What are you talking about yellow screen? I have a red XL and if it wasn't for Gamefaqs wouldn't have even heard of 'yellow screen' & 'pixalated graphics' and other falsely embelished complaints about the XL. --- I'm a 10+ year GameFaqs lurker. Friend Code: 3668-7314-6427.
That was my Main concern with the graphics too. I have an Original though so I'm hoping when I do eventually buy an XL that it's not too noticeable.
I finally held an XL and the screen difference is there. The bigger screen is awesome, but I still love my Black 3DS. I still think it's the best color available or at least the one that appeals to me the most.
I'm waiting for an XL with a different color scheme.
I have an XL from the Mario Kart bundle and have never heard or seen a yellow screen or anything like that. --- "Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?"
