Do you HAVE to be 17+ to buy M rated games yourself at Gamestop?

If you look old enough then you should be able to buy it.

I don't see why younger people can't just buy the damn game themselves.

If I had to guess, it's the same reason they aren't able to buy alcohol, cigarettes, firearms and various other things that have a minimum age requirement before you can purchase them.

Irrelevant, because alcohol, cigarettes, firearms and various other things that have a minimum age requirements before you can purchase them don't have the same effect as M rated games on children.

Wanna let me lock this topic buddy?

Correlations between violence in Video games and psychological nulling of any sensation to violence. Not irrelevant at all.

Hmm, I see your point. I'll take that.

If you look old enough then you should be able to buy it.

Funny.

There is no reason to be embarassed if it's the store's broken policy forceing you to resort to getting someone else to buy the game for you. Nothing you can do about it.

Yes, I realize that's an option as well, but my parents are kinda tired of ordering stuff online for me.

Hmm ,well you could try mail order. No need for creditcard or anything.

Just ask a guardian to buy it for you. I don't seriously see an issue here at all.

I would tell my kids to play my M rated games for me so they can tell me if it's safe.
