With Terraria being ported to XBLA and PSN, I wish they would think of 3DS/Vita.

I think the game would be a wonderful portable experience.
They probably aren't even considering the platforms, but damn I would love it.

I wonder how they're going to make that work without a mouse and keyboard. I guess I could see it being possible (yet clumsy) with dual analog.

Loved terraria...
And I also see the controls being poor. However 3ds would have hope, though i think you'd be playing on the bottom screen for the touch mining and such. Which pretty much would (hopefully) force a non-map mod on the top screen. I would buy soooo many copies.

They released a trailer. It's not as good as mouse and keyboard but the way they did it looks about the best it could be. I was impressed.

Why would you have to use the controller with this? The PS3 natively supports USB keyboards and mice...

Most of the combat in Terraria ends up being ranged, which requires the range of motion of an analog stick or mouse. The only way I could see it working on 3DS is if they use the shoulder buttons for lateral movement and the analog for aiming.

Minecraft and Terraria are about as different as you can get while still using the block-based procedurally generated world design.

Yet one was heavily influenced by the other, If I had the choice between the two I would probably always choose Minecraft. (I own both for PC and seldom ever play Terraria)

Its not to say Terraria is bad, it's great for what it is. It's just my opinion that Minecraft is better. (also considering the fact that Minecraft is still growing and evolving where as Terraria is pretty much finished and is really only being ported)
