I would choose Portal unless I wanted something that would last me for a while.

Portal is short, but it's more fun than any other game on that list. If you want something that's both long and fun, then I'd say Borderlands.

Sonic Generations is possibly the best Sonic game ever. It's the ultimate love letter to all things Sonic, and any fan of the Blue Blur should not miss this game. Everything else on that list pales in comparison, except maybe portal.
