I wasn't impressed with the demo. Plus isn't it all original music? For some reason I have trouble enjoying rhythm games unless there's music I know in them.

TC, you should check out Rhythm Heaven for DS and Rhythm Heaven Fever for Wii. Both are excellent and you can get them for dirt cheap now.

Glad you’re enjoying Rhythm Thief, TC! I don’t think people should be ashamed for not owning it, but I wish more people would pick it up!! They’re missing out. ;P

I don't agree when people say Theatrhythm is the better game…definitely in the minority on that opinion, though. Despite how much I love FF music, the repetition of the gameplay was so boring (despite the basic swiping, tapping, and holding being fun). Nostalgia/my love for the music weren't enough to make it a good game for me. Rhythm Thief offered so much more in terms of fun, variety, characters, story, style/charm, etc. And despite having original music (except for a few pieces, like the Bach compositions), they’re all incredibly catchy and memorable!

Theatrhythm offers more content wise, but I for one do not find enjoyment out of playing the same pieces with varying difficulty, over and over again…but I guess some people do. I thought those dark notes were agonizing to play through. I was expecting so much more since I played Rhythm Thief first. I excitedly put in Theatrhythm.....and what a disappointment. I want more from my rhythm games...and Rhythm Thief met all of those expectations and more.

If I could find it for $19.99 usd on Amazon or something I might consider it but considering I own Theatrythm and have not even played it once, rythym games arent high on my list.
