Its a possible date. It is a Sunday which is normal for big Nintendo releases. However I am not getting excited till Nintendo themselves say something.

Nintendo said Q2. May 5 is as close to the exact middle of Q2 while still being a Sunday, Nintendos first party preferred release date. It's pure speculation on gamestops part and a placeholder date.
