Any reason to own both 3DS and XL?

Just out of curiosity. I'd like to pick up an XL today while it's on sale at BB, but someone at work offered me a regular 3DS at a good price...but I still want an XL. Are there any benefits to owning both?

The only reason I own both is because my 3DS got handed over to my wife and I upgraded. If you are going to own either then imo the XL is better. However, if you do like smaller then go for the 3DS.

Not really - I prefer the larger screen/matte finish on the XL, the shoulder buttons also feel much more comfortable to me.

While people are a bit wishy washy over the battery life - any extension of battery life on a device is a good thing which the XL can last anywhere from 20 minutes to 3 hours depending on who you ask/whatever setup they are using.

Do the games save to the cartridge or the SD card? Just curious if I do get both and my wife ends up using one and they get swapped around since I'd take the smaller one on the go, etc.

Reason to keep both: Streepass yourself.

And it saves on the cart, not the SD card (except if you have DD games obviously :) )
