Is Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon really that bad?

The problem is that it isn't very much of an improved remake (besides graphics)...

I mean, Metroid: Zero Mission was also a remake of an NES game and that game was incredible.

It's not as great as the others imo.

For starters, the battle animation, each character looks generic despite what they wear in their story counterpart. That sucks because even the gba ones didn't have this problem.

Secondly, because it's a faithful remake of the very first fire emblem game, the game mechanics are pretty much the same, and that includes the storyline. Marth rarely ever talks and there's very little interaction between your characters (thank god the second one for DS fixed this problem, but not as well as the other FE's).

But yeah, the second one for DS is amazing, and play that if you can, preferably translated...
