Hopefully not for a while. We have already had like 5 Mario games in 2 years.

Let some other characters shine. Give us some side-scrolling Samus. A new LttP style Zelda. Donkey Kong Land Returns, or be brave and invent some new IP.

Mario galaxy and galaxy 2 on wii.

There is a chance of a second 3D mario.

Also there hasn't been a mario party, mario golf or mario and luigi game yet. Oh and no mario vs DK yet either.

Wouldn't hold out for anything more than a port-over of Sunshine or Galaxy in the near future. Anything new is going to be a while.

Shortly after the release of Mario Party 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, Mario Tennis Ultimate Tour, Mario Tennis World Tour, Mario Tennis Golden Cup, Mario Golf Twisted Tour, Mario Golf Hole In One, Mario Golf Birdie Bust, Mario Baseball, Mario Baseball Charged, Mario Baseball Home Team Run, Mario Strikers Re-Charged, Mario Soccer Ultimate Field, Mario Football, Mario's Tea Party, Mario Badminton, and of course the lustrious Re-Re-Lease of the Super Mario Advance series, again, one by one.
