More languages to translate, so of course it'd take longer to bring it over there.
Hey, at least you're getting it.

My personal feelings on a rather average game aside, does one game really make up for two decades of half-assery?

I think I'd rather have Etrian Odyssey 4 than Xenoblade if i'm honest

Yeah they're is, you guys have like 6 more languages on top of those. They'll probably put it in Italian, Dutch, German, etc.

Don't assume too much. Games usually have 3 or 5 languages. Shovelware often gets translated into many languages, big releases that aren't on PS3 don't.

Common languages to translate to in Europe:

- English
- German
- Italian
- French
- Spanish

The rest of Europe is usually f***ed. They also often choose to release multiple European versions (each with a different set of languages). Strangely enough though, Sony's big blockbuster games often are completely translated. Not just text, but even voice acting. Games like God of War 3, Infamous, Heavy Rain, Uncharted, etc, feature complete Dutch voice acting here. Nintendo only does it for the games they mainly aim at the casual crowd. Microsoft? They only do it for Kinect stuff and a select few other games (Rare's games were translated, for example), the rest isn't.

Anyhow, most of Europe will be forced to use a language not native to them to play the games. Fire Emblem sure as hell isn't getting a Dutch translation. The only JRPG that ever officially got a Dutch translation is Lufia 2 (and that was extremely well done).
