How is Monster Hunter played/going to be played on this?

Touch screen has a d-pad on it, thats what I use to move the move.

Truthfully I use both though, its not much different from having played the PSP versions. I didn't feel once that I needed to change how I handled the system in comparison.

I play a lil bit of everything on a lil bit of everything.
Not changing this until we get a Viewtiful Joe 3 or HD collection of VJ 1&2 (started 8/14/12)

As I played it on the PSP, the claw technique was used with your hand. How would you do this on the 3DS? Would the Dpad be for movement? This is my biggest factor when it comes to buying a 3DS XL.

On another note, anyone else find it even more ironic that of the next-gen handhelds, Nintendo lacks the 2nd analog pad, but the Vita just introduced a 2nd analog stick? They need to start using common sense, I mean really, there is space for one :i.

There isn't- they made a see-through 3DS and the casing is absolutely packed. But yeah, it plays ok without the CPP, and its even better with it. CPP has dropped in price quite a bit, too.

Do they plan on releasing the 3DS XL Circle Pad Pro when Monster Hunter is released?

There's literally no space for a second analog stick on the 3DS.

Circle pad pro

Elaborate? As I said, I'm looking to buy, and I don't really know how the things work.

circle pad pro is a $20 peripheral that adds a second circle pad to the 3DS, it is compatible with Monster Hunter.

Basically, two possible ways. Classic Monster Hunter style where you control the camera with the D-Pad (or touch screen also I believe), use the face buttons for the four different attacks (with some differences for different weapons), and L/R being used for running/blocking.

With the circle pad pro you can use that to control the camera angle though.
