some questions about MH3U.

im very excited about Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and i have a few questions about it. ive never played MH before, so i will have some easy to answer questions.

1: will the online exclusive monsters from tri appear in the 3ds even though it doesnt have online?

2: is there a red xl case?

3: do you level up?

4: if you can level up, can your weapons level up?

5: is the series fun even without online?

6: is the open world "big"?

7: is there a story?

1. Im not sure, probably.

2. Just check Google

3. You level up your hunter rank online in tri. Not so sure what will happen on the 3DS version

4. You can upgrade your weapons to + status and so forth.

5. Yes it is, people have put in 200-300 hours solo

6. Yes its "big"

7. Theres an overarching story but its not really the main focus of the game.

3. No
4. Not exactly. You just keep upgrading your weapons and armour.
5. Yes
6. The maps aren't that big imo (maybe that's just because I'm used to them)
7. There is sort of, but it's never been the main narrative of the game.

thanks. i like the bronze one :) i wish i could have more details on it though. i wont pre order it until they have the color confirmed

if you are expecting it to be a traditional rpg be ready to be dissapointed.

You stay in the same town for the whole game and you sign up for quests and depart to these maps and hunt a particular monster with a 50 min timer. different category from a "level-up, treasure chests, story/location progression" RPG.

BTW there is little to no story but the point of the game is to hunt monsters and farm materials. Combat is what makes the game, its not just a simple button-mash, if you try that you WILL die immediately.

Umm I have no idea what youre talking about but you can get 9 hunter ranks which determines the rank of quests you can do

Umm I have no idea what youre talking about but you can get 9 hunter ranks which determines the rank of quests you can do


this what i got from monster hunter wiki: there are 9 urgent missions, three for each rank, the ranks are easy, high, and g, after you beat all three of the urgent missions on a rank, you level up a rank. is this true?
