Is there going to be a new 3DS model or is the XL considered to be the "new" model (like the DS Lite)?

I don't see what they could really do to change it. Sure people whine about second analog, but... that's not nearly enough to build a new model around.

Nintendo said they were thinking about releasing a 3DS "Pro" model in a couple years that comes with a built-in second circle pad, once sales of the regular 3DS models start to slow down. Then a year after that, they will release the 3DS XL "Pro" version with the exact same feature.

Yeah from what I've seen you okey to make stuff up so I don't think anyone should believe you.

There needs to be; and I'm sure there will be. Aside from there being three revisions of the DS, there are just too many things that prevent the 3DS XL from being credible, let alone the definitive version of the 3DS:

> brightness butchery
> dire sound quality
> Fisher Price build (cheap)
> DS games' resolution

^ With that said, I'm still trying to figure out how it amounts to $200....
So....New Super Mario Bros. 2 wasn't released as FREE DLC for New Super Mario Bros.?!

Well, Nintendo plainly stated they had no plans to release a redesign and then immediately announced the XL... So we have no idea.
