Metroid. While I do enjoy the series, the others are all too legendary to consider

Because it's a fighting game.

The other genres are better.

Mario. I've never bought any of the games in the series, though I was given some of them as gifts. Platforming just isn't my thing.

Me, personally? Metroid. Never really got into it aside from Fusion, but I wouldn't want to deprive fans of it if I had the choice to.

Mario, I don't really see as having 'main' titles these days. I see 'Mario' as a character with a metric **** ton of franchises. Galaxy, World, New, Paper, Party, Kart....Not really sure what you'd classify 'main' title Mario as being. I'd assume World/Galaxy/New etc, the platformers, rather than the other genres.

Legend of Zelda I just love, though I'm hoping for a traditional whatever-the-Oracle-games-are-classified-as rather than another 3D/stylus based game for the 3DS.

Pokemon is timeless.

Smash is fun.
