Not niche? F-Zero easily. There hasn't been a game since the Gamecube/Game Boy Advance. While some series recieved two games on the DS F-Zero recieved none.

Niche? Probably the Mother/Earthbound series.

Mother/EarthBound is only niche because of the neglect it's received. There's a decent sized market for it if they would just give it proper support.

They only tried once with Mother 2 but the issue then was they tried it back when RPGs were universally considered niche. Not to mention the marketing campaign made a point of saying "This game stinks"
