Forgot how easy SML2 is

Got it last week, playing in short bursts and I only have Water World and then fight Wario. Way too short!

It's a Mario game. Mario and remedial are birds and feathers that flock together.

Some Mario games have a semblance of difficulty or at least length.

I agree with you. The game has some of the most interesting worlds but it is way too easy for me to enjoy them. Same with wario land 2 which used to be one oft favorite games as a kid.

Yeah, I do love the inventive worlds though. Tired of all the same. exact. levels. in all the NSMB series

None of the games that have a flying or gliding power up are difficult. This includes SMB3 and SMW, and obviously SML2.

SML2 was twice as long as SML1.

Untrue.

The Carrot/Bunny Ear powerup from Super Mario Land 2 doesn't at all make the game "easier". It allows the player to reach some areas that Mario ordinarily wouldn't be able to without, but the descent rate is high, and (barring jumping on an enemy) there isn't a way to boost your height beyond the level of the initial jump.

In short, it's like the Raccoon Tail without the ability to fly or tailswipe. Add to that the level design (which by and large is far less "open" in many many places)... and you have the reality. Anyone who thinks they can grab a carrot and "glide" their way to victory is sorely mistaken.
