My 3DS XL won't charge.

I bought it 3 weeks ago and now went I plug it in, nothing charges.

I don't know if it's my 3DS or my charger. Is there anyway to tell if the charger is blown out? If you plug it in and stick your tongue into the inlet, does it give you a little zap-similar to D batteries?

How am I suppose to tell...

Should you not put your body parts in an outlet?

Get a second plug

Not in the outlet....In the inlet of the charger (the part you stick in the 3DS)

It's not enough watts to do damage.

It's 9.6 volt output....it won't even come close to killing me

The charger is 4.6v output. I doubt you'd feel it if you used the tongue.

If you have the charger for any of DSi or 3DS, those can be used. Ask a friend for it as well. If your 3DS still won't charge, it may have bad battery or bad charging circuit inside. If you have any paid DLC, your best bet is to bug Nintendo for in warranty repair or exchange, they can transfer your games. If you don't have any DLC, take it back to the store for exchange as it'd be quicker than waiting for Nintendo.

Damn okay. I got my ambassador games all over that thing. I'll go to a second hand game store tomorrow and see if they'll let me try out a charger.

They sell chargers brand new at Five Below. They're not expensive...

Still. It'd be nice if someone would do me a favor and stick their tongue in the charger and tell me if they feel something. When I stick my tongue in my charger I don't feel anything.

This would help ease my mind on whether it's the 3DS or the charger.
