Quick Question: If I get a 3DS capture card, will it ruin my warrenty?

#1CubeTVPosted 1/29/2013 3:17:59 AM
I'm very interested in being able to record 3DS (and DS) games with great quality along with playing on a bigger screen.

Only problem though is that I don't want this to ruin my warranty.

Do you think it's worth the price of not having a warranty? (Sorry for bad spacing, it's 4am where I'm at)

im pretty sure it will because you would need to mess with the circuits (soldering)
that said idk what nintendo warranty covers

also before buying, you should make sure you have a decent pc... or you wont be able to capture at a decent frame rate

yes. The warranty states that if you alter your system it becomes void.

Yes, it will. If your 3DS gets messed up during the installation process, Loopy will replace it free of charge (though, that rarely happened to him). Dunno about after though.

Yep, it voids it, but wait until the price goes down, it's only so high because the demand for it is high.

Are you sure about waiting? I think that the price is just going to go up since there's still a LOT more people wanting 3DS'.

@CubeTV

It will go down, he's getting a lot of request right now and that's why the price was raised. Supply demand my friend, wait a couple of months and thank me later. He even posts this on their forum.

This guy knows what's up.
As demand increases, the price increases (easy profit)
As supply increases, the price decreases

Basic Economic Principle.

Yeah, it voids your warranty.

Also the cost he charges ATM is absurd. (Especially compared to the DS one)

Not to mention he no longer ships DIY versions of it which I did for the DS....
