Back of 3DS XL feels weird

Got one around a month ago. Was brand new. Never dropped it or anything either. I have been playing on it lately though and when I'm playing something feels wrong with the back side. For example, when playing you of course hold the 3DS XL. You use your right hand and it's fingers for the buttons. Meanwhile, your other fingers that aren't pressing the buttons grip the back of the system. I notice if I tap the lower part of the back side though something feels wrong. Like as if though parts inside of it are messing up, or a dent somehow got there or something like that. Anyone run into this too? I never had this problem back when I got it either.

Most XL's have the back plate somewhat loose. It sucks, but not unusual.

Thanks for the response. Is there any possible way I can fix this? Even if I have to remove the backplate or anything?

Not that I know of, I haven't actually looked much into trying to fix it. I did buy a case for my XL so I don't really notice it anymore.

I have an update on this. Yesterday I removed the back cover. I removed the battery as well and carefully cleaned it. Next I placed the battery back in and put the back cover on. I messed up slightly on the bottom of the back cover as it's not completely snapped on, but the problem is gone. I no longer feel that annoying feel in the bottom of the back cover where the battery was. Everything seems fine. I do not know if putting the bottom of the back cover on completely and not slightly screwing up would have affected this, but either way it's fixed the problem for me.
