Why would they release Super C and not the original Contra?

maybe we'll get something more badass like 3D Classics: Contra

or maybe they are planning on putting out another Konami Arcade collection like they did for DS and GBA.

I can always hope anyway :)

It's not released on the Wii VC too, no?

I'm wondering if there's some kind of really weird licensing problem with the original Contra?

The original HD version was removed from XBLA if i am correct

I dont think there is a licensing issue, the HD versions can be bought Retail on Konami Classics Vol1 and 2 for 360. Maybe they took it down because they want people to buy those, i did.

Contra and Super C can both be found on Contra4 for DS.

Super C is just a better game IMO.
