What are some must have games?

What are some must have games for this generation? I was looking for something I know I'm interested in Fire Emblem coming up, all I have is:
Kid Icarus Uprising
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D
Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance
Nintendogs + Cats

I like pretty much anything but military games, I prefer supernatural horror compared to zombies...but I suppose Resident Evil Revelations will do. I think that covers it O.o oh and I love Dynasty Warriors ^-^. I am also interested in BlazBlue because..honestly I dont go online all that much and when i do it seems like people spam attacks on there. Thank you all for suggesting.
I do have my heart eventually set on: Professor Layton and Super Mario 3D Land, I hear too many split results of NSMB 2 and Paper Mario to really know for sure.

Cave Story is considered another one of the must-haves.

I own BlazBue, so I can personally say that it is very enjoyable to play. Downsides, movement controls are d-pad only, 3D doesn't add to gameplay at all, and if the game is open, your system can't go into sleep mode. Other than that, the game is worth getting.

Also, get Samurai Warriors Chronicles. It's considered one of the 3DS' hidden gems. The game is part of a spin-off series of Dynasty Warriors.

I second VLR (get 999 first though if you haven't played it)
Devil Survivor Overclocked is also fantastic.
