What's the official story on FEA's release date?

I called my Gamestop an hour ago and although their website says 2/4, they're saying come on Tuesday. I heard a rumor that there's no street date and shipments could take any number of days to arrive, so I'm trying to figure out if my Gamestop just gets their regular delivery truck on Tuesdays or if they're just being complete a-holes about it.

If target has it (across the street) I'll probably buy it from them.

There isn't one. Every Gamestop is just utter chaos and they not Nintendo have issues a blanket statement.

Official NA release date: Feb 4, 2013.

There have been scattered reports about Gamestops giving different dates....but that always happens, because many Gamestop employees are incompetent. However, the volume of these reports are higher than normal, so it MAY be that some Gamestops are delaying their release for some reason. If this is the case, I'd recommend buying elsewhere.

I was in a Gamestop yesterday and asked about its release date. They looked on their computer and it said it would be shipped out on the 5th and that they would get it on either the 6th or 7th. >_>
